How would you rate your personal growth on a scale of one to ten? Could your score be bad, average, or excellent? Well, personal growth does not only involve your body, but instead, it encompasses your mind, soul, and spirit and various techniques for improving one’s habits, actions, behaviors, and reactions.
Dr. Sas is a 52 year-old-entrepreneur who incorporates science and spirit to achieve health and well-being essential in personal growth. She shares lifestyle tips and ideas that can help in this growth. She helps create a healthy, happy, and well-balanced life.
The following are some tips that can help you in Personal growth.
- Human Interaction
Human beings are meant to be social. It would help if you have a strong network of family and friends to stay away from loneliness. Loneliness can trigger stress and inflammation and can be dangerous for your health. Therefore, if you feel down, it would be of value if you reach out and ask for help. Research has shown that human interaction and better communication with others can help reduce the risk of a heart attack. Therefore, be nice to one another and reach out to your network whenever you can.
- Self Love
Are you always feeling unworthy, constantly overthinking, surrounded by negative people, or telling yourself that you are not smart enough, good enough, or worthy enough? Stop killing yourself. These issues will destroy your confidence and slaughter your self-esteem. Also, these negative self-talks are not true.
Dr. Sas encourages people to accept themselves and begin feeling great about themselves and their bodies. That is the only way to start a personal growth and development journey. You will not only benefit yourself, but you will also benefit those around you.
Self-love will give you a fulfilling life, excitement, and confidence. It is about self-acceptance, learning who you are, and presenting yourself authentically. Self-love is about knowing your values and setting your boundaries. Self-love is about forgiveness. Not just forgiving others but above all else, forgive yourself. There’s more about self-love that will free you from decades of misery and self-doubts. Dr. Sas goes into detail about this in her online course, Self-Love Journey
- Healthy Eating
You can do right away for your health by cutting down the amount of sugar. If you pay attention to the food you eat and add up the amount of sugar you eat in a day, week, month, and year, you will be shocked by how much that is.
Also, learn to read nutrition labels. Know the different names they put on the label that means sugar (dextrose, sucrose, fructose, glucose, cane juice, corn syrup, dextrose, fruit juice, and much more.)
According to an article published on the NIH website, the average American ate only two pounds of sugar a year two hundred years ago. In 1970, they ate 123 pounds of sugar per year. Today, the average American consumes almost 152 pounds of sugar. This equals 3 pounds (or 6 cups) of sugar consumed in one week. Therefore you need to be aware of how much sugar you consume.
Additionally, Stop overeating. It has been discovered that if you want to live long, then you should stop eating when you are 80% full. These findings were made by Author Dan Buettner, who studies longevity. Many people think that eating healthy is expensive. But have you tried visiting the doctor’s office? You, therefore, need to eat the right food. Meaning the perfect diet for me is not the perfect diet for you. Everyone is different,” says Dr. Sas. Eating things from the earth and nothing manufactured by man can go a long way in making you healthy and improving your personal growth.
- Your Spirit Matters
Your personal growth is not complete without your spiritual growth. Dr. Sas focuses on science, medication, and studies; she also incorporates spirit to achieve health and well-being.
Did you know that you are more than just your body? According to Dr. Sas, we are all spiritual beings with human experience. She encourages people to connect to the spirit/God/the universe and the earth. These steps can play a significant role in contributing to your overall health.
- Physical Fitness
Physical fitness will improve your strength. Things like weightlifting or walking can go a long way in keeping you healthy physically and mentally. If you are working with weights, it is essential to get a personal trainer. Many people do this wrong and end up with injuries or are not getting the maximum result they can with the time and effort they put in. You can also incorporate cardio into your exercise routine.
Therefore being social, having self love, being spiritual healthy and keeping physically fit will make your personal journey. Personal growth is basically improving oneself. All of the above five tips will help you improve your habits, focus, and overall life satisfaction.
